Apple released iOS 9.0.2 update for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch device, Now you can download iOS 9.0.2 to your device using OTA update or using iTunes. Specially this iOS 9.0.2 update fixed vulnerability that allowed Lock screen access to photos and contacts on iPhone, ipad and iPod touch devices – iOS 9.0.2 has patched a potentially disturbing vulnerability which allowed malicious users who have access to your device to use Siri from the Lock screen in order to browse your photos and contacts.
As per the Apple’s official iOS 9.0.2 release notes, iOS 9.0.2 has fixed the issue which allowed access to photos and contacts on a locked device by “restricting options offered on a locked device.”
The vulnerability was left unpatched in iOS 9.0 and iOS 9.0.1 and affected the iPhone 4s and later, fifth-generation iPod touch and later and iPad 2 and later device.
iOS 9.0.2 fixed issues with cellular data toggles, iMessage activation, Stability of the Podcast app and many more. In addition, the iOS 9 software update has introduced a new 30 second Auto lock option in Settings to both increase your security and cut down power consumption.
Apple also mentioning that Apple stop signing to iOS 8.4.1 and iOS 9.0 firmware for compatible devices, meaning users who have updated to iOS 9 are unable to downgrade to previous iOS versions.
