Apple iOS 9 beta 4 released to the developers – What’s new in iOS 9 beta 4?

Apple officially released the fourth beta for iOS 9 (build number 13A4305g) On July 21, 2015. Which is the next generation mobile operating system scheduled to launch later this year to the public. If you’re iOS developer, now you can download iOS 9 beta 4 to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device via OTA (Settings > General > Software Update > Download and Install) or download through Apple Developer Center


With the iOS 9 beta 4 release Apple added Home Sharing support for Apple Music, that was missing since the iOS 8.4 release. But Apple’s also previously said on public that Apple planned on adding support for Apple Music in iOS 9.

iOS 9 beta 4 also included Picture in Picture support for the Podcasts app. This feature allows users to watch a video while performing other tasks on the iPad.

The Handoff frequently option has been moved within the App Switcher interface, which was displayed within the app carousel previously. Now, users will have to pull up on the icon that’s been placed at the bottom of the display while switching between running apps, as seen in the image below.

Apple’s 6th generation iPod touch, iOS 9 beta 4 is fully supported by the mobile device, so testing is possible on that device as well. Another noteworthy change is the Notifications icon within the Settings option, which is now a bold red color. Apple added again volume button to be used as the camera shutter with iOS 9 beta 4, which was missing in iOS 9 beta 3.
