One of PanGu team member posted some great news for jailbreakers eagerly waiting for the iOS 8.3 jailbreak. Pangu team is the Chinese developers team who have released jailbreak tools for iOS 8 – iOS 8.1 Jailbreak and iOS 7 – iOS 7.1.2 Jailbreak, have successfully demonstrate the iOS 8.3 jailbreak at the Mobile Security Conference (MOSEC) in Shanghai.
This was confirmed by Daniel_k4 (PanGu team member) on Chinese social networking site called ‘tools4hack‘. However, They plan to release the iOS 8.3 jailbreak after iOS 8.4 is released to the public, which makes sense.
It is not clear if Pangu iOS 8.3 jailbreak will be compatible with iOS 8.4 update. Because Apple always trying to make it difficult to jailbreak iOS devices by patching vulnerabilities with every new iOS update. However, security expert and well-known hacker Stefan Essar (i0n1c) had published a video to show that he archieved Jailbreak iOS 8.4 successfully.
Apple is expected to make it even more difficult in iOS 9 with a new Rootless-the kernel level security feature. This is meant to do several different things, including preserve the security of sensitive data on devices, increase the safety of extensions and prevent malware.
With this latest news, jailbreakers should avoid upgrading to iOS 8.4 when it is released to the public. We were expecting Apple to release iOS 8.4 just after the WWDC15 keynote on Monday, but the latest rumors suggest that Apple will release iOS 8.4 in late June.
Please note that any site claiming to have a jailbreak for iOS 8.1.3 – iOS 8.4 jailbreak is a scam, so stay clear from such scam sites. If there is a jailbreak for iOS 8.1.3 – iOS 8.4, Jailbreak tool will be available for free, and we’ll report it on iOSJailbreak.Org quickly.
